About Troop 58

Troop 58 Logo.png

Troop 58 was chartered in January of 1988 by Santa Rosa Christian School, where the troop continued to meet for 20 years.  In September of 2008 the troop moved to it's present location at St. Luke Lutheran, with the church acting as it's charter organization.

Over the years, the scouts have grown under the leadership of many scoutmasters, include Steve Kranz as the first scoutmaster for the troop, Steve Danelz, Brian Smith, John Caris, Mark Abel, and now with Andy Kiehl.

The troop is proud to have guided over 100 boys to the completion of their Eagle Scout award - a significant achievement in the life of a scout, that molds many young men into successful contributors to society.  The first eagle scouts for the troop, Brent Weber and James Kranz were awarded in 1993.   Even in the midst of COVID hardships over the past few years the boys have remained focused on their goals - Michael Gonzalez, Kyle Benestad, Simon Peterson, Aidan Johnson, and Roy Harder are among the troops most recent eagles.

We are proud of the troops long history of commitment to raising up young men committed to their faith in God and service to their country.
