Andy Kiehl

Scout Master

I have been involved in Scouting since the early 1980’s, starting as a Cub Scout in Pack 603 (El Toro, CA) and a Boy Scout in Troop 787 (Mission Viejo, CA) and earning the rank of Eagle in Troop 577 (Kirkland, WA). My early scouting experiences included numerous High Adventure backpacking and boating trips, leading as the Ceremonies Chief for the T’Kope Kwiskwis Lodge, and participating as a member of the Advance Team for King County Explorer Search and Rescue

I am working directly with the Scouts of Troop 58 as the Scoutmaster. In this role, my main responsibilities are coaching and mentoring the Senior Patrol Leader in his leadership of the Troop. Troop 58 is structured to allow the Scouts to lead – from planning events and meetings, campouts, organization, and teaching skills to each other. Adults provide for mentoring, guiding, and logistics for making campouts, advancement, and events possible. Our Troop focuses on all points of the Scout Law and Oath: we treat each of the 12 points as independently critical for developing scouts into responsible leaders in their local community, church, school, the nation, and as a member of our society and world.
