Jason Loughmiller

I have been volunteering with BSA Troop 58 as an assistant scoutmaster since 2018. I grew up spending weekends camping at the coast with my family, and I have always loved the outdoors. Although I did not participate in scouts growing up, I love being a part of this boy-led troop and the excursions they we go on. We have done some amazing things such as snow camping in Yosemite, hiking at Mt. Diablo, canoeing at Lake Sonoma and crawling through caves at the Lava Beds National Monument. I think my favorite times are the week-long summer camps we go to where the scouts get to earn a ton of merit badges, participate in polar bear challenges and just have a good time with friends.
